Q Showing Grace An important principle to keep in mind during conflict is that grace is sometimes appropriate. Grace is granting forgiveness, using empathy to be other-focussed, and sometimes simply putting aside our own needs when there is no standard that says we should or must do so. Grace is unearned, unrequired kindness on our part. Directions Think back to Spring of 2020 as Covid-19 turned our world upside down. Perhaps you were enrolled in classes that quickly jumped online, or your employer had to close or layoff workers, or your life was temporarily thrown into chaos in any other number of ways. Think of a situation during this time when someone demonstrated grace with you, especially as you perhaps weren't doing too well. Maybe you needed a favor, some additional help, or understanding. How did they demonstrate grace to you? Looking at this incident from the perspective of managing conflict within relationships, how could you turn this example into one strategy that you would recommend others use in similar, challenging situations? Fully explain the incident, your recommendation, and the reasoning for how you believe this to be a beneficial and graceful strategy. When you have your answer, turn it in either as a written response or a short video upload. Grading Criteria This assignment is graded as Complete/Incomplete, worth a total of 20 points. As I am encouraging you to think outside the box in regards to traditional assignments, you are encouraged to play with the format of your answer and how you submit it. PreviousNext

When we switched to online, I asked my professor if he could take a little extra time to teach me because of the issues and he did.
